The setting of this hidden gem gives you an amazing 180 degree uninterrupted southern sky vista from your own doorstep and provides wonderful views across the wooded valley and distant fields.
This idyllic Shepherds Hut has an ingenious layout that includes a luxury double bed complete with cotton bed linen linen, the cleverly designed bed easily swings away out of sight to reveal an oak table and seating for 4. The Kitchen is very well equipped with a full range of utensils, sink, induction hob, fridge, microwave, and toaster and is complete with salt & pepper, tea towels, washing up liquid and cloths. The luxury ensuite shower can deliver piping hot water, well any temperature you like, but if you like hot showers we promise you will not be disappointed! Luxury cotton, hand and bath towels are also provided.
Stargazey is also equipped with a cute wood-burning stove that on cold days keeps the cabin warm and cosy; kindling and logs are provided for the length of your stay. Outside you have your own secluded garden area complete with picnic bench, rocking recliners, stargazey bar-b-q and a fire-pit.
Such is the peace and tranquillity of Stargazeys natural haven that you may be lucky enough to see the resident Barn Owls that are often seen just a stone's throw from the hut, both tawny and little owls are also nearby. Those interested in stargazing will be delighted to know that by appointment you can visit the neighbouring Observatory (conditions permitting) Weekly sky watch interests posted on a nearby noticeboard by our resident astronomers Dr Grant and Mrs Kim Mackintosh.
This luxury Shepherd's Hut is a paradise for nature lovers, artists, star watchers and a great central base for touring Cornwall being 10 miles from North Coast surf beaches and 6 miles from South Coast sailing centres.
Our guests are treated to a Cornish Cream Tea Welcome Basket, (with a bottle of Bubbly on ice for honeymooners) there are also complimentary slippers included as we ask that shoes and boots are not worn inside the cabin please but we provide a rustic boot scraper and a weatherproof ammunition box beside the steps for any muddy boots and shoes. |
